Haha! I'm so frustrated with the back of mine, I'km considering bunches!
Been up for ever it seems, so why not get the camera out!
Church Candle by Nigel G, on Flickr
Waiting to brighten the night when no other light glows.
This one is very old (2005). The theme candles brought this image to mind straight away as I loved this photo. I wish I hadn't searched for it though, too many photo's of Hannah to look through too.
Becky birthday candles by Nigel G, on Flickr
Lovely picture. I love her expression!
I know what you mean though. I've found some photo searches on some subjects have been a bit difficult.
Some of the other shots are blurred due to movement. I'm not sure but I may have asked her to be really still so I could take the photo, hence her intense stare. I shall have to ask her later when I speak to her, although her memory is pretty poor!
Lit by candles. Two outside and one inside the cupboard.
Candle in waiting.
That's the third day in a row that I'm out of contributions - the next couple of days don't look too good either.
I understand that not everyone has a candle in their home but... you could always damage a cup or plate for tomorrow if you don't already have a damaged one ;-).... or cut a potato if you have one
... and you don't have any gloves?
He’s married, so there must be candles, scented or otherwise. Probably a drawer full of tea lights from a visit to IKEA too (They’ll come in handy they say).
I could re-use this on 17th I suppose..... been a bit busy recently and not had much time to try to rise to the challenge every day
How I got started with abstracts...........................................
Don’t think so, maybe some birthday ones. Got some fake ones (battery candle-lights). It’s not the availability of candles per se it is the need to create a set-up in the house. I’m not up for the stress.
Here's an oldie - part of an investigation into type but also...candles.
I don't how you create a scene like that. Very curious mix of celebration with decease. Love the colours that are ..... contrariwise .... I think sums it up. Emotionally a very confusing picture.
Hey, Come on! Surely every fuel on this forum knows that "RIP" means: "Really Into Photography"??
Not Reginald Iolanthe Perrin?
I’ve not heard that one before.
This was part of the development of a project where I was looking at typography and death. For this I was interested in what were considered to be 'appropriate' fonts for announcements, graves etc..and conversely what wouldn't be appropriate.
The set up for this was very simple - I used two thin plastic cutting mats, one as a base and one propped up against a vase at right angles to the first to create a space to put the cake. Pretty sure I just used window light too.
Not candles but these were two others in the same series.
