And, you’ll be relieved to hear, these are my last 2. These are very local. Couldn’t get any more local.

We were told when we bought this house that when they were building the Manchester to London railway, our house was at one point an inn serving the railway workers. A lot of people when they visit our house assume we have a big mirror behind the sofa. This is a big timber framed hole that was apparently due to the house being an inn and to do with serving the ale etc. Whether that is true I do not know. Can’t think why anyone would have a big hole like this in a wall though without good reason.

Handy I guess if the builder had left his spirit level/plumb line at home!

I've often wondered what sort of person has a purple velour sofa.

I think you'd like the place too. The beaches are idyllic. Surrounding countryside has some hills. and it is like a mini Isle of Harris to me.

I think it may need a trim.

Presume the AD is just so we don't mistake it for BC? ;)

    Wonderful place.

One of my favourite bands, Bears Den, are playing that arts centre (An Lanntair?) in August.

A building that always catches my eye driving into Epsom is the United Reform Church. I don't know if the unsupported first storey is something to do with divine support, or what, but to me the whole thing is ugly.

Not the prettiest of buildings that’s for sure. It’s missing some petrol pumps on the forecourt.

Some nice places out there. Always interesting to see other buildings and towns.
