The temperature has been climbing here all day. It is now 11 degrees and a light Southerly breeze. I'm being very lazy now, just curled up reading. All set in Laos, this tale I'm reading, about a coroner working there and the pickles he finds himself embroiled in. I realise I'm influenced in my diet by some of the books I read. I had a spate of police adventures set in Singapore and Thailand. Before that I was in Italy. Unfortunately, food doesn't rate much in Laos and the staple, rice, I eat already! Nice to feel warm again!
Went for a walk after lunch. Staines High St by SteveH, on Flickr Chilly enough to keep the High Street empty. Santa by SteveH, on Flickr And Santa will have a bit of a wait for his waffles...
The weather improved this morning so I went down to the beach. About a mile in all, very muddy, should have dug out my wellies instead of fell boots. Took a few pics, but only with the phone. Got down to the water's edge, and was caught a couple of times by not paying attention. May post pics if I can get them down to sixs. The beach pebbles were just as horrid to walk on as I remembered.
Yep, Chesil beach is not quite what one expects when hearing beach, the pebbles are more like thousands of mini rocks.
Low cloud, mist, damp, 4 degrees. All day. Forecast is same for next few days. No sky, no sun, just bland off-white. Definitely the white balance is off.
Please do. Today was mild and dry here but I just couldn't drag myself out on the bike. Did an hour on the trainer instead.
Yes, please do! Mild up here too. Had the heating on for less than an hour this morning, then another burst around 5pm. Off now and I'm still warm.
