Light rain just started. Beeb still predicting thunder and lightning at 22:00, Met had said T+L at 21:00 but have cancelled that in favour of hail (Eek)?

 

Enough rain to wash some of the dust off the car.

Really sunny again, warm but windy, enough so that shade best avoided.

 

Raining so I stopped in the underpass next to a high school to see if it would pass. It didn't .

 

Rain here, so washing draped around indoors. Fed up.

 

Very odd day. Hissing down one minute, then hot and steamy the next. Lots of big cumulus clouds. Feels thundery but minus the thunder and lightning.
Downpour time.

 

At least you won't have to get the watering can or hosepipe out this evening

 

And there's no water warning in place over on the west of Scotland but there is here. It's getting hard to find muddy bits in the woods round here...it's getting like down there!

 

The more I look at that photo the more I like it. It should definitely be printed big, framed and hung. Well done Andrew.

 

Would it please you to know it has been there for years and nobody seems to have complained enough to have it removed?

Bit breezy but very warm in the sun. Nice down by the river with the swifts zipping around overhead .

This morning at 7 am my weather app said we were going to get some rain which didn’t happen. It said we were due rain on and off all day. At around 0930 when I last checked all forecast of rain had gone and was due to be cloudy and warm. Hung up a set of bedding and the first load of washing. It is now raining and is forecast for the next hour or 2. Great.
