Despite the sun's best efforts it was like an ice rink on my walk to the shops this morning.

Still very cold as well despite the sun, was glad of the warmth when I got home.

Wet. The benefit of which is the day ended far warmer than it started. Downside of which is likelihood of doing wallpapering today has massively increased.

Blowing a hoolie, with horizontal rain. Glad I did my weekly shopping yesterday instead of today as is normal.

It's the suddenness of it - last week temperatures were around 10 degrees. Today's maximum was 30 degrees.

Had a bit of blue sky, even a hint of sun earlier. Gone now, back to low cloud and rain.

In St Ives looking out over Porthmeor beach from apartment just above sea level.....nothing between here and Canada (I think) but rain lashing in, gale crashing the sea right into the bay and wind howling over us - it’s great and, as the trains are out of action, might be ‘forced’ to stay a bit longer
    Take care

I've just got up from watching TV, and I've never seen such low pressure on the barometer. 990mB now, and it seems that it was lower a short time ago.
