    F/18, 1/25", handheld. I can't believe this hoverfly managed to keep position. Or that I kept the camera steady.

    But is it good enough?

    Probably not good enough for the Natural History guys with that background (kitchen blind?), but personally I love it, off-the wall backdrop and all.

    The background is the bars on a wrought iron gate in a park! There was no wind and the flies and bees were having fun in a patch of "pollinator friendly" flowers.

    I like it a lot - looks as if you burned the front of the head in a bit, there is a slightly darker area on the oof bar behind.
