Mind you, if Clive used a Pentax, that statement about Pentax users being dead would probably be true!

We know something good when we see it, that is if we take the lens cap off.

Now now Nathan, we must apply ourselves and work diligently if we are ever to grow up to be an intelligent and hard working person like your old dad. On second thoughts, perhaps I should rephrase that. Oh aye! I reckon we're all dead. Not a new post since 7th Nov. We could always talk about the merits of the LX, the new MZ-S, 645 and 6X7. But strangely I don't think anyone will.

No Pentax users arn't dead. That is reserved for Fangs up in the Lieca Lounge. Then he is not realy dead, sort of Undead, in a Draiclieca kinda way.

I've recently bought a secondhand Ricoh KR10 Super body secondhand. Does this qualify me as a Pentax user or is this Pentax club exclusive and reserved for only those with the "Pentax" logo proudly emblazoned on the pentaprism?
Funny how the Pentax "K" mount was once described as the "universal" mount. Well, a few other camera makers took to the idea, but it died a death with the advent of autofocus.

Off to have a peek at that site Rob. What an open minded bunch these Pentax people are. Allowing a "non pedigree" camera owner like me into their exclusive club! /img/wwwthreads/smile.gif

Incidently I have bought dirt cheap a Cosina C1 and a Chinon CM4s. Both in working condition. Since like your Ricoh, they don't have DOF preview it can be fiddled by half-releasing the lens and then looking. Not ideal but is fine for any close-up work. After all the body is not of much importance - lens quality matters.

Roy MRIPN Wow I'm getting serious again!

Speaking of lens quality Roy, I bought a 50mm f1.7m from Walters Photo video for my Ricoh. I wasn't expecting much for £20 but was delighted when a mint example Pentax SMC arrived by first class post. It had the lens cap and body cap in place and even had a Hoya Skylight 1A filter attached! Needless to say, I am delighted and thanks to Walters Photo video for an unexpected bargain.
