Has anyone used Photocrowd

    I gave up on APOY when it was 'taken over' by Photocrowd, and still remain very wary of of it and similar websites. Even an attempt to browse such sites results in an attempt to download and install numerous 'cookies' that cause concerns about privacy.

    I also noted the magazine's problems with entries for its Christmas Cover competition, when many entrants ignored (or did not understand) the instruction to only submit portrait format images.

    Doesn't every site you visit use cookies? Not been on the site mentioned, but aren't there options to reject them?

    Some sites have that option, others just state that continuing to use the site means you accept them. No idea which Photocrowd goes for.

    I must admit, I rarely bother clicking to find the purpose. I just accept and move on.

    I quite like TheDailyMash's take on it though.
