Hi,
I've been using the S5600 for some time now, I use it to take snaps when I'm travelling the UK & Europe. If you are careful and take control instead of letting it do everything for you it takes great pictures. I guess the answer to your question comes down to your budget and what you want from a camera. At the end of the day, the photographer makes the picture and the camera's just a tool. You'll always find a better camera available next week or the week after that.
