Seeing as this is supposed to be a photography related site, I thought it might be a good idea for people to post shots/links to the works of others that they've added as favourites on Flickr or jsut like a lot. The idea is to inspire, intrigue, spread good photography and encourage other photograhers, perhaps, to find us here.

One one rule that comes to mind, only one photo per poster per day.

It doesn't have to be a hosted on Flickr, other hosting sites are available, but either way a link to the user profile so that people can look at other work by the same artist might be a nice idea. :)

I'll start the ball rolling with this:

It's by one of our members, Spoff, who I've not seen here for a while but who is a regular on Twitter. This shot showed up on my iPhone Flickr front page as a random image and I instantly loved the graphical alomst non-photographic nature of it. I think that it would have made artwork for an iconic album of the 1970's early 80's.

Spoff's Flickr profile can be found here.

    My next offering:

This one's by our own RovingMike and I love the simplicity of the curves and cobbles.

Mike's Flickr profile can be found here! :)

Titled Tombstoning by our own JFBaker. I would like to create a similar picture of a bowler running up and bowling.

I'm game for this; (provided the mods don't see any harm in the reposting of others work)

Just one of many shots, he's more recently become very much the equine photographer (well at least he's uploaded a lot of horse photos and appears to be specialising inthis area at the moment)

so many to choose from this person, his work has always inspired me, i choose this one for the simple reason of how difficult this shot is, if you have never browsed his flickr have a browse here you can find his website

Another form one of our forum brethren. This time it's Zou whose Flickr Profile, Zou San can be found here.

I love this shot; quirky, odd, but in a positive way, I don't get any sense of depression about the piano, it just feels like it's waiting for some passerby to pause, play a short tune and then carry on. I also love the contrast of textures and tones between the wood and stone. :)

I have no idea what it is, but I like it.

This shot was taken by Olli Kekäläinen and his Photostream can be viewed here.

There's a feast of great images in there, well worth a look.

I just love how this fades out the further back you look. I promise to post something a bit grittier next time. ;)

Another graphically simple shot, and one which, despite being obviously posed I still like coming back to.

This shot is by Mr Bones and his photostream can be found
    here.

What is there not to like? Superbly spotted and well executed.

Love the stripes on stripes juxtaposition and the perfect use of black and white. If you like urban mono, you really need to check out Clement's photostream.
