I only wish Dave was here to see this- he loathed Farage pretty much more than any other politician and believe me he loathed loads of them. the mere sight of Farage on the telly he'd turn over but only after he'd used every swear word he knew at least 5 times

Saw that, good riddance to bad rubbish.

Pity we can't drag him on a hurdle to the Tower then hang, draw, and quarter the scumbag, and impale his head on a spike in London Bridge

My sister [good god-fearing woman that she is] forwarded an email describing a speech made by him as "Churchillian."
I wrote back criticising him, she then asked "So you don't think much of him, then?" I rather let rip. We've hardly communicated since. First disagreement in sixty-odd years.

Well at least he will lose his Job in Brussels, because of Brexit....[ will he get a pension ? ] Read elsewhere about a peerage in the House of Dottery Ald Sleepyheids [ sorry, I meant "Lords" ]

Charming level of discussion. Its easy to see how organisations like ISIS can whip up support amongst people who are a bit pissed off by events.
Sure they are in a different league of hatred over religeon and you are just a bit annoyed about politics.
One young British MP has already been killed by a nutter fired up by your sort of talk. You joke but some nutters ............. .

My niece shared a link with a picture of him and a statement. This man does not represent me. It was on FaceBook and the idea was to share it. I commented on it saying. If I do this then I will have to see his face my FB page. I wouldn't put it on my toilet paper.

"A bit pissed off, a bit annoyed?" You really have no idea of the depth of feeling half the country has, have you? And bear in mind Jo Cox was murdered by a right-wing Brexit. Remainers are more sensible.

His actions have already scuppered our (And more importantly our childrens' and grandchildrens') futures and may even lead to the breakup of the UK.

I do apologise for calling him a scumbag though, as it would be unfair to scumbags to compare them to That Man.

The entire comeback / brexit campaign was just so he could crow to them all in Brussels. That was all he ever wanted.

I agree. We should try to be sensible when we speak and write unless we want to live in violence.

Far from it. Two more years making rude comments in the European parliament plus a whole host of advisory/consultancy roles with parties across Europe (Austria, France, Finland, Netherlands, Italy and Denmark, to name but a few) who have the same over-riding aims as UKIP.

OK. He has resigned. What else is there to discuss, other than that his mischievous (In the old meaning of the word) machinations have wrecked our future and made the rest of Europe despise us to the point that we will have to wait a long time before being able to get back in again.

Whether he resigns or not is not greatly important any more. The damage has been done.

I think it is another thing that might bring home to the less entrenched Brexiters that they have been conned for personal reasons. But the real heartland of Brexit is behind figures just emerging from the Conservative background. They seem to have been happy for Johnson and Farage to be the flag carriers.

Careful! He's pulled this stunt before in connection with a GE. After about a week he decided he was irreplaceable as party leader....

I suspect it will not be the last we see of him. Probably has designs to get into Westminster eventually. Apparently, he was socialising with Murdoch and Fox over the weekend.

Learning, I agree. One of the things about the EU Referendum that I find absolutely staggering is the amount of hatred & bile the EU has created in British people, especially since the result was known. I now just wish we had never joined in the first place and feel a bit(!) guilty that I voted remain - I think - in 1975. Cheers, Oly
