Will....I dont believe you have any brocolli....or the means to harm it in any way....I hearby demand that you submit some photographic evidence. (and it better be good enough to submit for the APOY in the kitchen theme!)

    this puzzles me...

If you eat (for example) a peice of beef, it's dead before you eat it.

If you eat (example again) a lettuce, it's still alive when you eat it. Just becuase we can't prove (one way pr another) that the lettuce has feelings, does that make it right for us to eat it?

These vegetarians have a lot to answer for /img/wwwthreads/wink.gif

I agree Fen, and whats more I'm firmly convinced that vegetables have a soul......well I think they do anyhow because when I'm in church (a rare occurance!) the minister always says just before we kneel "Lettus pray" /img/wwwthreads/smile.gif/img/wwwthreads/wink.gif

    Death to bunnies!

Well, if Toby gets saved, I guarantee I'll shoot ten of his mates that plague the lawns around our office.
(don't worry, there'll still be several hundred left)

Hunters in the 'States have an alternative version. It is:

    Re: Death to bunnies!

A friend of mine has a decent air rifle and he used to (beign an engineer) drill a tiny hole in a .22 ball bearing.

He'd then load up his air rifle, target a bunny and shoot.

The ball bearing would whistle as it flew through the air...

The bunny would look up at the noise and...

    No seriously, totally true.

He hardly ever hit the bunnies as the ball bearings would vere(sp?) off due to the hole.

But it was damn funny watching the rabbits

    Re: Death to bunnies!

I understand. 'fraid I was guilty of assuming that the sort of sophisticated equipment needed to drill ball bearings (which are polished to a mirror finish and are hardened to a minimum of 58 on the Rockwell C scale) was unlikely to be available for this sort of purpose. Clearly I was wrong . . . . . /img/wwwthreads/smile.gif

Nah, he used to work at "The Brush" in Loughborough (Leics) where they used to do a lot of metal stuff! He used to work on the lathes, cutters, grinders, etc., I called him as engineer, maybe that was my mistake.
