I was reminded of this and I think I will make it again. It was an old favourite quick dinner throughout the years, but forgotten of late. I made a rich cheese scone base, rolled out thinner than for scones, then topped as you wished. I must say it tasted better than most offered over the years and I knew what went into/onto it. You can also traybake it and cut into squares for sharing or freezing. Let me know your failsafe recipes too!
