Some of you may recall Paolo, the stray we took in after he came to us in the summer:

Well, it turns out he is a magic shapeshifting cat! Here he is as an owl...

These two photos remind me of a short visit to 'The Prince's (?) Islands" by Istanbul many , many years ago. There were a couple of fish stalls and small goups of cats waiting their chance. I had the impression that I was observing a training session for young cats - "OK, the stall-holders looking the other way - off you go - go on- quickly now - go on(!) and grab yourself a fish!" Whereupon a young cat shot round the corner, reached up and angled a fish of some sort with its claws and dived for cover!

One of the photos in this series had one of the cats aswell snapping a small fish in its mouth, but it's not the best of shots...

Currently sat here with a very hungry and unhappy cat. He hasn't eaten for over 12hrs; I'm not allowed to feed him as he is having surgery today to remove yet more teeth.

Another 2 hours before I can take him to the vet's :(

Maddy likes to watch television. Especially anything by David Attenborough.

She was utterly convinced that she could have that Bobcat. And after he'd gone away, attempted to swipe at a couple of snow leopards. Because, of course, she's the bravest cat in the world!

Maybe it's because I've only got a PC but, even when Pepper decides to jump up on my lap, what's going on on the screen doesn't interest her, not even on full screen. Big Cat Rescue? Cole & Marmalade? David Attenborough films?? She just curls up and snoozes, even when I place the headphones close to her!

Why do ginger toms always look as if they're contemplating mischief?
