OK, Jane Bown (famous photographer) has a posthumous book of cat pictures out this week.
And there is a Tumblr page called Uneasy Cats, which is cat pictures by famous photographers.

So, shall we have a thread of cats* by un-famous photographers?

I'll start off with a couple of my older ones...

This is from donkey's years ago - of Claude Monet, my brother's cat, with my brother's right eye making a guest appearance. Please excuse the noise..

Stockholm 1986, Skansen kids zoo. The sign says 'Don't pick us up'.

I've no idea who started the 'tradition' with the dummies...............probably the Skansen staff in conjunction with various kindergartens.

DSC_0023.jpg I love the Skanson zoo, also there are 'cat' cafe's popping up all over England

I like it too, they should invent a perfume and call it 'la-mow-atoilett'

On hearing that there was nothing worth watching 'on the box', Madeleine gave us something to watch in front of it instead.

Long ago and far away in a time when flat screen teles weren't even an exotic futuristic concept, our then cat used to love to sleep on top of the, as it was then, somewhat bulky tele, loving the warmth the valves etc. gave off and letting her tail artistically hang in front of the screen...........
