I repeat my answer to this previous competition winner.....
"It's another one of those overly manipulated false black & white images that seem to be the rage in competitions".
Two huge manipulations.
1 Excessive colour filtration on the conversion.
2 Excessive HDR.
It looks like something from a 'Digital Photo manipulate by numbers' exercise.
And there's a very obvious halo around the hound into the bargain...
All digital images are manipulated in some way aren't they, so what's the problem? You either like the result or you don't. Clearly the relevant judges liked it.
What surprised me was that the Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers could only attract about 320 entries.
Was there a charge for entering? Small numbers of entrants often mean that it costs to enter.
It's not a Beagle = it's rubbish.
No Andrew, more like this.
What beautiful eyes!
all the better to see you with....
Mosi was around 10 weeks old then, the eyes are just turning from blue to the traditional yellow/amber.
