The 'final' picture has leaves and branches in the foreground, yet the shot of him up the tree shows no foliage between the photographer and the couple.

As for describing him as 'the most committed photographer ever' - well, I'm sure that Robert Capa walking up Omaha Beach on D-Day armed only with a camera was nothing compared to a bloke climbing a tree.

Photoshop? It's just a bit of BBC bollox. Their site specialises in that. I thought the bloke must be quite fit

    RovingMike Crucifixion's a doddle...

Looks to me like his head is in the midst of foliage.
I couldn't and wouldn't, but we did hang a professional tog upside down over molten steel in a Bessemer Converter once. Was for a British Rail Freight ad.

    Dear Mike,

So he could take a picture, or because the art director didn't like him?

    Yes and yes.

Suspect having someone to hand the camera to you after getting into position makes it easier as camera straps don't work too well when you are upside down.

It's not too far off the reason I have auto rotate switched off....unusual shooting angles can confuse it:eek:

I reckon you've summed it up quite nicely (albeit, a little sarcastically :D) there, Jeff.

His personal style looks a little flat to me, I'd like to see a little bit more life in the images, given how colourful they are, they seem oddly muted.

There's a video that an acquaintance of mine made of him taking a picture that ties right in with this story.

    Facebook Link

The image quality of the video is nothing to write home about - but the lengths he went to...well, let's just say that as soon as the ladder came out I'd have headed for the hills.

Could I? 40 years ago perhaps!
Would I? Depends on what I was being paid!
