Post your Chrismas prep shots, or your Christmas avoidance shots, or shots of other people doing Christmas.

This was my one time go at an email Christmas card. Not very Christmassy but it was bloody cold the day I took it.

It took me about a week trying to figure out how to add the text using GIMP and I gave up on positioning it or finding a decent font.

Oh and it exceeds forum size limits - so sorry.

I guess technically this is a thread for showing off your photographs, and these are just phone snapshots, but here they are anyway. This is likely to be as Christmassy as we get for a few weeks yet. Advent calendars, hers and mine.

We're still struggling to get in to the festive spirit thanks to the last few months. We're three rooms in a deep clean/tidy of the house, which has desperately needed it for a long time, once that's done, we'll see about putting some decorations up.

We did ours last weekend, Mrs Dan is keen

We bring in a branch each year that has fallen and give it a bit of Christmas cheer

And the children get to buy a new decoration each year, these are last years

But Batman never really seems to get into the Cristmas spirit. Here she is having Christmas thrust upon her.

Fallen branch? You are missing a trick there. A stall holder on the market that we have a stall on is selling these birch branches at £18 each!

And this dog (unless of course it is a cat or a big rat) is getting more into the spirit. Also taken at the market.

Are you very close, or is that a huge-flowered Mahonia?

Our first incoming Christmas card arrived today, so I suppose we'll have to buy some charity to send out.

Like some of you, I used to use one of my own pictures as a Christmas card, but now instead I use the money to get A2 calendar of my pictures (£30 from CEWE).

It's pretty tall and the racemes are a good foot long. But yes, I did go in close. Every year I swear I'll prune it back in the Spring and every year I forget!

18 pounds?? wow, they don't look anywhere near as flimsy and likely to drop all the baubles off as ours, and I bet there's not one slug on those ones either! But I must confess that dog is looking a bit more festive than mine!
