Now, I remember from David a little while back that C41 films are basically bw emulsion layers with different dyes which are brought out during processing. Now, when a C41 colour film is dev'd in bw chemicals, it produces bw negs with an orange base. Would a C41 bw film (eg.XP2 or TCN) produce bw negs from bw processing? In which case, isn't a C41 bw film basically normal bw film which has the emulsion in three sperate layers and an orange base, rather than just one thick layer?
