All.....apart from replacing the complete unit, does anyone have an idea if theres anywhere that may stock a battery lid for a Nikon F70? .... as the spring / clip, that retains the batteries, has descided to de-essemble itself any now wont stay together when put back together.
I'm having to use a bit of gappa tape to hold the batteries in + to keep the unit together.

    Much appreciated.

When did the F70 go out of production? The makers are legally obliged to maintain spares for a minimum of seven years after production ends I think, so in theory Nikon UK should be able to supply if all else fails.

The batteries for the F70 are the same as those for the F80 so it is possible that the battery door is the same too and Nikon should be able to supply one easily. If not I am sure Grays of Westminster could get one for you, no idea of the price though.
