    take his hat away would be extremley difficult, however i might be seeing richard over the weekend if all goes ok


    probally easier if i just give him a good kick where it hurts :D

    Great stuff Richard...congrats :D Can remember laughing at the speed of the AF on the 180 when I first tried it indoors.....but was laughing on the other side of my face when I pointed it at moving subjects at the BWC :D

    Sorry Richard but I have to ask, are these shots cropped? If not you must smell of bird seed because I have never got this close to a wild bird other than a duck without it taking flight! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Well done!

    A small crop off the top and bottom, then cropped to square on the first two. The third one is from the same distance but a slightly heavier crop for impact and still loads of detail. FYI ISO400, 1/1000 sec, f/6.7.

    Nice shots Richard they are really sharp, thats obviously a very good lens.

    I have been specialising a little bit with birdy close ups at my feeder also - but to get shots this close have had to come up with cunning devices. I am impresse with your 'field' skills.
