No access course. It's a four year BA (Hons) course in Communication Design at Glasgow School of Art. I assume the system here in Scotland is slightly different than in England.

Thank you, I accept what you say, but I just wanted to be very sure it was seen as a joke and not a serious criticism of his portrait. I admit I sometimes over-use smilies in an attempt to avoid misunderstandings.

    Regards, Mike

I would like to say Thank You to everyone for the kind words :D

    Misunderstandings? MISUNDERSTANDINGS..!

    Joke got :D

That's not mine. That was just a wall-covering in the Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank.

Oh yes... but not too many... yet ;)

Probably. I did a 1yr Access Course as I'd been out of education for... 25yrs! That got my brain back in to some sort of learning mode. Now two years for the Foundation Degree completed, just got the one year to do for the BA (Hons).

    Okay dad!

Thank you Mr Geoff - We owe each other beers!

Thankfully I had to give that back afterwards.

I'd probably be up for it in the hope that some of everyone else's photographic genuis rubbed off on me!

I still have my hat and gown and hood for my first bachelor's. I was going into teaching and these garments were obviously going to be needed for founders' day services and speech days. The gown was warn daily.
I was in industry for my master's and bachelor's in another discipline and like you I hired the garb. My fifty year old gown is still well impregnated with chalk dust, and its sleeve still conceals the cane that it acquired in my early days of teaching.
