    Clearly a black-headed gull, 'cos it doesn't have a black head!
    (doubtless named by the same eejit who came across a duck-billed, egg-laying, poisonous, web-footed mammal and decided to name it "Flat foot")

    Levels are way off. It does brighten up, but as gullpics go, not a memorable one.

    I guess that the old joke was repeated as a joke, and you realise what the bird looks like in summer.

    In summer it has a brown head.

    A very dark brown head that appears to be black unless in perfect lighting.
