Does anyone know where I can get the instruction manual for this piece of equipment? Could someone send me a copy perhaps? Would be most appreciated.

    Jean,

Try contacting Minolta UK direct, myself and other Minolta owners on the forum have found Minolta extremely helpfull in the past, In my own case I bought a S/H Dynax 600Si without an instruction manual, contacted Minolta looking to purchase one and they posted a manual out free of charge. However, I now beleive that the charge a small fee, but, chance your arm.
the contact for Minolta UK is:-
    Minolta UK Ltd.,
    Precedent Drive,
    Rooksley,
    Milton Keynes MK13 8HF.
    tel 01908 200 400
    Fax 01908 200 391

    Hope this helps

    Brian,

The Autometer IV-F is if memory serves me an ambient/flash meter with the capability of adding a spot-meter attachment, a very different beast to the Spotmeter F.

...isn't IVF some sort of artificial insemination? Can't see how a spotmeter would help you with that! (Unless it's a "G spot" meter!)

    Will,

Go and ask your Uncle (or should that be Aunty?) Clive about 'Roman Numerals', he must remember using them! IV = 4

I thought IV was that green stuff that you get growing up the wall of the house!

...no you're thinking of Patrick Litchen, that famous royal photographer. Very fond of photographing Kate MOSS he was! /img/wwwthreads/smile.gif

Sorry I am not well up on Minolta things, the spotmeter was the only Minolta product I have ever purchases and the 'F' thing confused me.

Anybody want a good read, the instruction book is 96 pages long!!

    Brian.

    Brian,

Knew clive was good, but, hadn't thought he'd acheived that sort of distinction, inventing a numeric system, now thats clever!/img/wwwthreads/wink.gif

Yep I reckon Clive reached a peak about that time. Trouble is he has been going downhill ever since. Mind you how could you invent a system without my I.Q being taken into account?

    Brian.

Well, if memory serves me well the Romans numeric system (invented by Fangs) consisted of (I V X L C D & M) seven charecters so does this equate to an I.Q. of 7?

Much to complicated Ron, its just that Clive didn't include a ZERO.

    Brian,

I thought a Zero equated to a blank space?
