Are you a tree or cave dweller?

Just for fun and out of interest - if there were only two places to live which would you choose? I'd prefer to be up in the trees, away from most predators and intruders, fantastic view and airy, no flooding. Imagine the photos. Then again, the caves can be warm and cosy with a fire and less likely to be stuck by lightning, or dark and damp, moody shots. :)

Does this cave have a broadband connection?

I suspect i would be a cave dweller. My house would not lose 30% of itself every winter.

Cave for me, but not for that reason.

They're good places to wait and ambush dinner :D

I reckon I'll go for the cave then, it would be a bit chilly in the treetops at night.

From the 2 choices, a cave. I'm not really the right shape for climbing up trees (or for crawling around narrow caves for that matter!) so would prefer to stay at around ground level.

For now though, may I please stay in my nice, warm, draught free house?

Dinner's always on Fen, he's a messy eater, gets it in his fur and ears mainly. ;)

[pedant]I never knew pumpkins grew on trees[/pedant]
Oh and I'd live up a tree....never really wanted to leave there in the first place....and why didn't you offer water...I'd happily go back there

    Have you never grown pumpkins?

One of the best ways to grow them is to plant them at a bottom of the tree, they then grow up the tree which keeps the pumpkins off the floor. You get a better crop this way.

Our neighbour grows them in his apple and pear trees. Uses hairnets to support them as they get bigger!

I was going to offer water david but I rather thought wine from the creeping wine stocks would go better with fresh squirrel or pigeon. Let the cave dwellers drink their potato hooch! Someone mentioned losing most of their tree homes every year (I assume leaf loss in winter) I would have an evergreen residence and a rope's swing away a deciduous summer house, a mighty oak perhaps - I believe there is an evergreen oak anyway
