    Pah! No sense of adventure, some people. ;-)


    They do have some specially designated cycle trails through the National Park, but it would all be very tame stuff by your standards - it would be the sort of cycling even I could do. :) However, when walking in the forest I often see tyre tracks off those very well-made paths, though I hardly ever actually see anyone else except at the car parks.

    It is a fairly flat area, and poorly drained, which is probably why it wasn't much use for anything except forestry and a bit of grazing. Anyway, there's a lot of mud there, so in at least some respects it might resemble some of what you're used to. No midges though. :)

    Beautiful spot isn't it? There's a few theories about the origins of the graves, some say they're Viking, others Irish, some say they're Saxon. The Vikings used the chapel, but apparently it predates their arrival.
