I've taken the liberty of starting a new thread for this popular forum event (I hope Baz won't mind). We're on the letter 'F' this week...

The original thread has reached a handsome 200+ responses and, the forum software being what it is (flaky at the best of times), we thought it prudent to lock the first five weeks worth to prevent any potential corruption.

The posting guidelines are just the same, see below.<hr>
Just an idea but thought I would get the ball rolling on an Alphabetical slant. A nice A-Z Project.

Someone posts a photo of a subject starting with a letter.

The following week we move to the next letter of the Alphabet.

So Saturday to Friday... 1 week to get them on here!

We can stick to THIS thread too so we don't clutter the boards.

Make sure it is a subject that starts with the relevant letter like "A for Apple" NOT "A for A bird or A cup"

    Just a bit of fun.

    Get the ball rolling again...

This is my grandmother, mother & uncle.

From what I can gather, families with young children were encouraged to have regular photographs made, paid for by the govt. of the day, to send to their husband/fathers fighting overseas during WWII. This is one of those.

Fire in the sky. Taken from the good ship Finnmarken (Hurtigruten fleet) late at night along the Norwegian coastline in June 2005.
