Provoked by my sister's constant 'what do you think of this one' texts, I rattled one off last night before going to bed. I have no idea whether it is good or not, but at least it brought silence for a while. She is doing a writing course since she is one of those unable to go out, so she is having fun writing short stories, and now, acrostic poetry. Here's mine. Darkness Endures Arriving on Duty Obscuring the Flames of the sun Where Insecure Needles Trail from the Eaves like Ropes of despair So anyone else want to join in? Happy to see the results here.
OK! But that's just what my sister kept saying. Haha! How about playtime or Walk in the Woods or Spring Blossoms or Bike Rides or Wish you were Here or Wish I was there or Dark Side of the Moon I'm sure you can think of something you can muse about.
More fun and challenging when someone else sets it I think... Let's start with playtime People Love And Yearn To Introduce More Entertainment

Wow, these are perfect! Now you have to challenge us with a phrase too. (But only if you feel like it, honestly)
Walk in the woods Wandering aimlessly, looking and kneeling in nearness to the humble elegance of willows, overhanging outwards dipping in the stream.
Time Endlessly Accrues Fear Of Relaxation Time Without Obligation Doesn't quite work, needs another think probably.
I think I'm being influenced by a Chinese novel writer at the moment, who has a main character who is a policeman as well as a poet. He quotes loads of classical and modern Chinese poetry in his books. Another thing which has struck me reading the books is that we have little understanding of the complexity of Chinese culture, politics and how they deal with it. Their political scenarios are so within living memories, it's amazing they cope as well as they do now. Older people must find it particularly hard to fit into the modern China.
I'm going to have to leave this thread - it's making me a bit gloomy... Time passes, endlessly ignoring all its effects. Forever ignorant of what it wreaks, remembering nothing that really matters. We can fight it, but only for a short while. Bl**dy mortality! Edited for a slightly better(?) ending.
