    Hi all,
I have an Asahiflex with a 50/3.5(asahi)lens and
    a Komura 135/3.5 lens. I would like to add a 35mm
lens to round out my lenses. For the younger gen-
eration, this is not the 42m thread mount lens.

I live in Vancouver, Canada but routinely go over
to the UK. As well, I have friends in various
parts of the UK who could pick the lens up,
    if the price is right.

    Cocktails & Cameras....(Pentax, of course)

Don't know anything about the lens but welcome to the madhouse. I expect one of the inmates will give you advice re your problem. Are you by any chance into 'stereo'? Why don't you fill in your 'bio'?

Anyway welcome I think you are our first Canadian member, but as I am always wrong you might not be.

Brian, who really is a Snail./img/wwwthreads/wink.gif

Welcome indeed-but please, there's no need to post the same message in multiple places!<img src="/img/wwwthreads/wink.gif">

But Tim, you are doing exactly the same thing. Hence my reference to 'stereo'.

    Hi Tim,

I thought I better post my request twice because I figure in the
regular "wanted to buy/for sale" forum it would get lost amongst
all the newish gear that is being requested. Also, I thought it might
have a better chance among people who know photography and, of course,
    that is Pentax users.

Cameras & Cocktails.....(a nice lager with the SLR at the ready)

    Hi Brian,
Thank you for the welcome to the madhouse. I am guessing
that if this forum were compared to the movie "One Flew Over
the Cuckoo's Nest" that you would be cast in the role played
by Jack Nicholson. And, our friend Tim would be cast in the
role played by Louise Fletcher as the 'very strict' Head Nurse.^_^

Anyways, thanks again for the welcome and hopefully I will have
some luck finding my lens along with meeting(??) some other great
photo enthusiasts. Also, I never filled in my "bio" because I
    never saw it.

Oh, I dunno Jack, most of the regulars here wander all over. If you've had browsing time you'll have noticed.

What's this "very strict"? Is she a bit of a Miss Whiplash or something? (never seen the film)/img/wwwthreads/smile.gif

To perform a lobotomy surely they have to locate a brain, well in case you haven't noticed, in my case that is going to raise a problem.

Anyway, Lager, Pot, Acid, Cocktails, Whip's, owning a Pentax, have you got a problem? Sounds to me that you have joined this forum in the nick of time. Remember there is strength in numbers. Oh and if you would like to indulge in more high minded debate might I suggest you visit the Leica room, you will meet a much better class of person there, apart from some interlopers who we tend to ignore. Incidentally what blood group are you? although <font color=red>Dracleica<font color=black> isn't usually fussy. Mind you he will love your reference to the Grateful Dead, its his motto.

Although in all fairness I am probably the sanest one here, apart from our tame Vampire.

Oh incidentally you can call me Slimey, because really I am a Snail./img/wwwthreads/wink.gif

Oh no Slimey, Janice is the only true sane one round these parts! (Jack, she is linnet 9 for your info, and keeps us in order with her fearsome frowns!!) /img/wwwthreads/smile.gif

I agree Tim. Slimey is proberly the least sane of all of us.

Jack to put you in the picture of how a snail, a cow, a vampire rabit are in this madehouse. It all happened along time ago, when I posted in the Lounge a thread along the lines of "We appear to be characters out of an old kids TV program called the "The Magic Rounabout".

As for Clive, his age and his likeing for "The Grateful Dead" together with a pasion for camera's with a big red blob, got some of thinking that he must be a vampire.

Now I hope that clears up any misunderstanding.

I got one from a friend of mine who makes winders for Leica M cameras.

    Cameras & Cocktails,

not digital but film, so far, but digital is
    starting to seduce me.
