A lot of the other forums on the web are talking about the 15th being the day when KonicaMinolta release the details for the D7.

    Let's hope they're right /img/wwwthreads/smile.gif

    Morning Garry,

I have two(2) answers for that one:

    1) You have never been to Vancouver, have you?

    or
    2) You have never worked in Retail, have you?

Probably like many others registered with Minolta you will have received the nice glossy booklet describing the all singing all dancing Dynax along with its price tag?

I was concerned about the type of storage media but was relived to see it confirmed as accepting the Compact flash cards.

However, I was in for a bit of disappointment with the price of the body only as being £1,149,99!! I thought it might come in at around the £800 / 900 mark. Then sometime ago I read an interview that indicated it might come in around the D10 price mark. My concern is that at 6mp it is not a fair price and the D10 is already widely accepted as a pro spec model with even that now superseded to some extent by the newer D20.

I do not think that I will be jumping in at the body only price for a first generation model. It is announced that when released there is to be a limited number initially available. Is this to allow for feedback ready for the firmware upgrade?

I am a keen Minolta user and do not think the price is justified and perhaps the brand switch now seems more likely.

    Regards to all

Sorry to say, but I agree with you /img/wwwthreads/frown.gif

But I will wait until I see what the reviews and tests of the camera are before making any final decision.

What the hell... we've waited this long!

    Morning Fen,

FWIW, I have yet to hear anything pricewise about Minolta DSLR from Minolta,
albeit Canada, and until I do I am not quoting any price to customers who do
    inquire about it.
Of course, as soon as I do hear anything I let you folks know.

    Hi to Sali.

    Re: 15th Sept - Big Day?....latest info

    Morning Fen,

Here is the latest on the Maxxum 7D from Minolta Canada:

*** The Maxxum 7D is slated to be delivered in early to mid November, pricing is still TBA ****

This message should have, of course, been prefaced with a: FWIW/img/wwwthreads/wink.gif.

    Morning Garry,

Unless your mate is a Minolta rep who is getting his demo body to show off,
I am 99.99% sure he will not be getting the Maxxum D-SLR at the end of (this)
    September.

As I work for Jessops, we have been told to expect them in the shops towards the end of October.
