Doris Araneus Diadematus. European Garden Spider

Araneus Diadematus or European Garden Spider. This young lady spent around 4-5 months in my outhouse guarding me against flies very successfully. I watched her progress from spiderling to adulthood. Here she was around 6-7 weeks old. There was a male in the area so I named the Doris and Boris although the male 'disappeared' I assume eaten.
