What is the SPI gallery?
A series of galleries for students of the School of Photographic Imaging to upload, share and comment on their images.

How can I obtain a user account?
You must request a user account from Laura Bianco at laura_bianco@ipcmedia.com (only open to SPI students).

How do I upload my photos?
When logged in click on the "Album Actions" drop down menu list, and select "Add Items". Or select an album and use the drop down menu lists as explained above, this will add photos uploaded to the selected album.

From Web Browser: to upload files directly from your computer, click "Browse..." click the file you want to upload and click "Open". Fill in the caption box with text you want to appear below the photo. Do this for each image you want to upload, using the File and Caption boxes below. Click on "Add Items".

From Web Page: to upload images from another website, fill in the URL of the web page and click "Find Files". This will return a list of all images found, simply tick/check those you want to upload and click "Add URLs".

What file types can I use?
GIF or JPEG are both acceptable file formats.

How do I create sub-albums for each course module?
When logged in click on the "Album Actions" drop down menu list, and select "Add Album". Fill in the boxes to define the album and click "Create".

Can I remove photos from my albums? Can I delete albums?
Yes, but you must be logged in.
To remove photos from albums: click on the "Item Actions" drop down menu list and select "Delete Photo". This will return a list of all photos in the album, tick/check those you want to delete and click "Delete".
To delete albums: click on the "Album Actions" drop down menu list and select "Delete Album". This will return a list of all your albums, tick/check those you want to delete and click "Delete".

Are my photos ever deleted by the gallery administrator?
Not usually, but we reserve the right to remove material without notice.

Who can comment on my photos?
Everyone, including guests.
You can moderate comments in your own albums. Click on the "Item Actions" drop down menu list, select "View Latest Comments".

How can I comment on other students' photos?
Simply click on "Add comment". If you are logged in, your name will be displayed by the comment you add.

Can I change my password?
Yes - click on "Your Account" when logged in. Click on "Change Password" and fill in the boxes with your old and new password. Click on "Change".
