I hope this means the Pentax SLR series gets more love, ciorndesing Ricoh already has it's own interests in compact cameras. I could see this being quite a handy partnership; maybe Ricoh could spell out the beginning of a revitalisation of the Pentax lens lineup and SLR system in general. They've already got three generations of excellent DSLRs to build off. Or, the worst case scenario is Pentax says goodbye to us all and the only DSLR manufacturers left are Sony, Nikon and Canon (and Olympus, if you really want to count them). Which wouldn't be great.

Wow, a DSLR at this price point with twin control dials - Rather bizarre to fail to mention this major plus. Rather well speced IMO.

I've been the owner of a K 30 for about 6 months now and am extremely happy with it. I use it with many vintage Pentax lenses and this was my reason for choosing Pentax over the 'Canikon' brands. ISO is excellent and the focus peaking is very useful, particularly with a manual lens.
Whilst I usually shoot on manual mode there are many scene modes to choose from. Highly recommended.
