Open to photographers nationwide, Twenty Four Hours in Bristol boasted £8,000 in prizes.

Organised by Art Ventures, and run in association with Amateur Photographer (AP), it challenged entrants to capture the ‘essence of life in the city’.

Competition judges included AP’s photographic studio manager Andrew Sydenham and portrait photographer Annabel Williams.

The overall winner will be announced shortly, and a free exhibition of the best images will be held at the Guildhall Arts Centre in Bristol from 16 November.
