The XC 50-230mm f/4.5-6.7 OIS is due for launch towards the end of this year, according to an updated road map announced by Fuji today.

The new telephoto zoom is built to deliver the 35mm equivalent of a 75-350mm optic.

Fuji announced its first XC lens, a 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS, alongside the X-M1 compact system camera last month.

Meanwhile, an XF 56mm f/1.2 lens is expected to be released in January 2014.

The 56mm lens was originally planned as an ‘f/1.4′ optic, for release this year.

However, the development of a faster f/1.2 lens ‘impacted slightly on the production time’, according to a Fuji UK spokesperson.
