DSLR cameras at UK video show for first time
More widespread inclusion of High Definition (HD) movie capability in DSLRs has led to stills cameras being lined up for their first ever appearance at a UK 'video' technology exhibition.
A spokesman for the event, which takes place at Earls Court in London next month, told Amateur Photographer: 'Broadcast Video Expo 2010… has been running for 15 years without a single stills camera on the show floor. The advent of HD video changes all that… The DSLR has arrived in the video and film production community with a bang and made an impact that it could never have dreamt of…'
The event will include the chance to take action shots in various lighting conditions as part of a 'DSLR Focus Feature'. There will also be, for example, a DSLR Cinematography Workshop and a Beginner's Guide to Video DSLR.
The show takes place at Earls Court from 16-18 February.
Seminars will be free on a 'first-come-first-served basis', say organisers.
