Spend a day with a Pro Photographer on an AP Masterclass
We are pleased to announce we will be continuing our Masterclass series in 2012 as the 2011 series was such a great success. Every month we invite three to five AP readers to join one of our experts on an assignment over the course of a day.
Cathal McNaughton (documentary) and Tom Mackie (landscape) will be returning in 2012 to offer more of their invaluable technical advice to readers. We are also proud to announce that two new photographers will be joining us for the Masterclass series. The first is renowned photographer Andy Rouse who will be heading our wildlife Masterclasses. This is a great opportunity to spend a free day with the award-winning photographer and learn exactly how you can improve your wildlife photography skills. Our next new addition is Annabel Williams who will be leading tutorials on location-based portrait photography. Portraiture isn’t the easiest of genres to take on and these Masterclasses will give you the skills you need to comfortably photograph your friends, family and professional colleagues.

Annabel Williams - Portraiture

Annabel Williams, one of the world’s leading portrait photographers, first picked up her camera over 20 years ago and immediately set about changing the face of photography, with her natural style and totally different viewpoint.
Incredibly passionate about bringing out the best in people, she has forged a highly successful career as an inspirational photographer and highly motivating tutor.
She has always believed that photography should be less complicated; and has worked hard to give people confidence in their own creativity, and enjoy shooting pictures without being held back by the technical side.
Combining previously acquired skills as a special-needs teacher allowed her to truly understand the psychology of people and utilise these skills to get the best possible images of them. It also strengthened her encouraging influence which has helped thousands of photographers to realise and fulfil their potential.
“Annabel has inspired a whole new generation of photographers with her enthusiasm and simplistic approach to photography” Canon UK
