Tamron 18-270mm

Tamron has announced the development of an 18-270mm lens featuring a Vibration Compensation (VC) mechanism to help reduce camera shake.

Boasting the world's longest digital SLR zoom range (15x), the optic is designed to be used on digital SLRs with an APS-C size imaging sensor, delivering a 35mm viewing angle of 28-419mm.

The 18-element-in-13-group newcomer, which will be launched in Canon and Nikon fits, includes two Low Dispersion and three aspherical elements to help reduce aberrations.

The Tamron AF18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC LC Aspherical (IF) carries a maximum diameter of 79.6mm and length of 101mm.

There is no official word yet on a UK price or availability date, according to Tamron's UK distributor Intro 2020.
