Pentax has showcased a mocked-up version of a new 10-million-pixel digital SLR it expects to launch this autumn.

The company has also confirmed the upcoming launch of a limited-edition lens called the SMC Pentax-DA 21mm f/3.2AL Limited which is expected in shops in June. The KAF-mount wideangle optic is designed for use with Pentax *istD digital SLRs.

Also on display was the Pentax 18MP 645 Digital camera (pictured) – a model first announced last year.

It is expected to feature a Kodak-developed 18.6MP CCD image imaging sensor. The launch date has not been confirmed.

The kit went on show at the PMA trade show which is taking place this week in Orlando, Florida.

No further details of the products were available when we contacted the company's UK office this morning.
