Poor demand forces Kodak to dump some films

Dwindling demand has forced Kodak to discontinue its high-speed infrared emulsion – and certain Ektachrome films - from the end of this year.
The films include Professional Ektachrome 64 Film (EPR) and Professional Ektachrome 100 (EPN).
In a statement – confirmed today by Kodak UK – the company said: 'Demand for these products has been declining significantly in recent years and it is no longer practical to continue to manufacture - given the low volume, the age of the product formulations and the complexity of the processes involved.'
The statement adds that Ektachrome 64 (EPR) will only continue to be available in Japan.
