Camera lens news: Sigma 18-250mm launched

Sigma has confirmed the launch of a new 18-250mm Optical Stabilisation (OS) lens designed for Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Sony and Sigma digital SLR cameras.
Priced £559.99, the 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM includes four Special Low Dispersion lens elements and three aspherical elements.
It boasts a minimum focusing distance of 45cm and maximum magnification of 1:3.4. This makes it 'ideal for close-up photography', claims Sigma.
