Wedding photographer quizzed amid 'terrorism' fears

Saturday 13th December 2008

Chris Cheesman

A photographer covering a wedding reception in Docklands, east London was detained by police under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, according to The Guardian newspaper.

The incident occurred as photographer Jess Hurd was waiting for guests to leave the wedding reception, according to the newspaper.

Canary Wharf lies in an area of high security where amateur photographers have themselves been quizzed by officers in the past.

Amateur Photographer will follow up this report once we have spoken to the relevant parties.
