Russian spy Chapman face copyright lawsuit

Unmasked Russian spy Anna Chapman has been accused of breaching a magazine's copyright by publishing a picture of herself from a photo shoot without permission.

Chapman reportedly posted a profile picture of herself on Facebook, plucked from a shoot for a Russian magazine that had planned to publish the pictures in its next issue.

Maxim Korshunov, editor in chief of the magazine – which is called Zhara – told the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) that it has filed legal action over the matter in a Moscow court because 'the photo was all over the internet'.

Earlier this summer Chapman was deported to Russia from the United States in a US-Russia 'spy swap'.

The WSJ reports that Chapman was accompanied at the photo shoot by an agent from Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service.

The paper said that Chapman, who has since replaced the photo on her Facebook page, did not respond to its request for comment.
