Grand Prix K10D

Pentax's K10D digital SLR has won the Camera Grand Prix 2007, an award made by a group representing 11 Japanese photography magazines.

According to Pentax, judges praised the 10-million-pixel camera for its 'exceptional image quality and array of advanced features, including the Pentax original Shake Reduction system'.

Organised by the Camera Journal Press Club the award applies to products introduced onto the Japanese market between 1 April 2006 and 31 March 2007.

Last's year's title went to Nikon's D200 digital SLR.

Pentax's K10D was recently named the 'Best Expert' DSLR by the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA), a group representing many European magazines.
