Nikon has unveiled a new 18-105mm Vibration Reduction (VR) lens and a GPS unit that allows Nikon's latest digital SLRs to 'geotag' images on-camera.

Due out next month, the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR will cost £199.99.

The lens delivers the 35mm viewing angle equivalent of a 27-157.5mm zoom, according to Nikon.

It will also be bundled with the Nikon D90 camera, in a kit priced £849.99.

The GPS unit, expected in shops later this year, enables the photographer to record latitude, longitude and altitude in the image EXIF file.

The GP-1 can be attached to the camera's accessory shoe, or strap, and is powered by the camera's battery.

The accessory will be compatible with cameras including the D90, D3 and D300. A price has not yet been released.
