Renowned photojournalist Harry Benson is among those to receive a CBE in the Queen's New Year Honours list.

The Scottish-born photographer gained international recognition when assigned to travel with The Beatles in 1964.

Harry was contracted to LIFE Magazine from 1970-2000 and has since worked for publications including Vanity Fair and Newsweek.

He has photographed every US president from Eisenhower to George W Bush.

His celebrity subjects have included Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor.

The freelance photojournalist was awarded a CBE for services to photography and 'to the community in the UK'.
