Global digital SLR camera production jumped 36.5% from January to October, according to Japan's Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA).
In value terms this represented an increase of 36.6% on the same period the year before.
Shipments to Europe shot up 32.6% in unit terms and 24.3% in value.
DSLR cameras shipped to Asia grew nearly 50%, in both volume and value.
The figures relate to DSLR cameras produced by firms that belong to CIPA and include their overseas production.
