A photographic holiday to Cuba worth more than £2,500 can be won in a free-to-enter competition open to UK photography enthusiasts.

The prize consists of a ten-day tour to Cuba in November – stopping off at Havana, Vinales, Cienfuegos and Trinidad de Cuba – with photographic tutorials before and afterwards.

Adopting the theme This Wonderful World the competition – also open to professional photographers – requires entries to be captured on Fuji?s new Fujichrome Velvia 100 colour transparency film.

Judges say they will be looking for ?original and passionate photographs? which display excellent composition and use of light and colour?. The closing date is 9 September 2005.

Ten runners-up will each get 10 rolls of Velvia 100 and a signed copy of a new book by renowned

landscape photographer Charlie Waite, entitled The Story of 50 Favourite Photographs.

The competition is open to all UK photographers, professional and amateur and is organised by Fujifilm Professional and Light & Land Landscape and Wildlife Photographic Holidays.

The holiday takes place from 9-18 November.
