Mat Gallagher got his hands on the new Olympus 75mm f/1.8 lens at the launch event in London and here are some of the results.

The Olympus M.Zuiko ED 75mm f/1.8 lens is the latest edition to the Micro FourThirds range, providing a long portrait optic that equates to 150mm in 35mm terms. The results are extremely impressive so far – here are a few test images from the day.

As one of the few, VERY fortunate enough to have used this lens on the 21st, I am left in little doubt that it will very quickly become a true classic.

Much of the image quality, has that look that is produced by only the very best lenses.

While it will be subjected to endless scrutiny and analysis by the reviewers, my own “real world” assessment found it to be simply superb.

Yes, but just how much better would it be if it was on a full frame camera?
