Built to be rugged, Polaroid claims the carbon-fibre Pro Series tripod is 50% lighter than its metal rivals.

Extending to a height of more than 55in, the tripod reduces down to 12.5in.

Also new is the Polaroid Varipod monopod, which can be extended up to 65in and doubles as a tripod with its removable 4in base.

Features include locking tripod feet with rubber grip pads.
